Source Graphics is taking many steps to improve its ecological footprint.  These include reducing the number of energy-draining computers being used in the office and depending more on professional courier services, that effectively cut down on the amount of automobiles on the roads. 

Simply by creating this website, Source has helped the fight against global warming by reducing the need for face-to-face meetings with all our clients, as quotes and reorders may now be done online.  That is, less travel between customers and Source Graphics is required, lowering gas emissions.  Also, with more communication online, less paper is required.

Furthermore, Source Graphics encourages customers to use recycled paper for their printing needs.  While the cost of this paper may be a little higher than non-recycled paper, the environmental benefits are significant.

Finally, Source Graphics has recently purchased a brand-new Direct Imaging (DI) Press.The only one of its kind in the interior of BC, the DI Press not only reduces the time a job takes, but also reduces the waste usually associated with commercial printing.  Less paper is wasted through test sheets and the traditional film and plate process is changed, eliminating all film, chemicals, water and heavy metals.
